The body of two more crew members of the Bourbon Rhode has been recovered from the sea last night. The bodies have been transferred by the French navy “Ventôse” frigate. BOURBON mourns the loss of its crew members. They stand by the seafarers’ families are and said that they will support them in this terrible time.
The French authorities are carrying out research operation with the support of US authorities as a part of exceptional measure. This has been intensified in the last few days. 10 commercial vessels have been mobilized in the area since the 26th of September whn the operations started. The French Navy performs daily overflights with its Falcon 50. It is also supported by the US Coast Guards’ C130 Hercules aircrafts. The Navy Frigate along with its helicopter ‘Panther’ are the central part of this system coordinating nearly 40 search engine grids.
