CMA CGM Introduces Low Sulphur Surcharge (LSS20) For IMO 2020

A Lower Sulphur Surcharge (LSS20) that will be effective from the 1st of December 2019 has been introduced by CMA CGM. This is to cover the rise in the costs of fuels after the IMO 2020 regulations have been put into force.

The tariff of LSS20 has been calculated by making use of the difference in average prices between the high sulphur fuel and low sulphur fuel of October.

According to the latest announcement, the retained value is at USD 200 per ton that is to be multiplied by trade coefficient.

All the contracts that have a validity of up to three months will have the LSS20 applied to them. The values of the tariff are available online at https://ift.tt/2NqiJot.
