The launch of eSUDS Connector that is a universal rate structure and API for ocean carriers for the 100% acceleration of digital rate distribution to customers has been announced by the CargoSphere.
eSUDS Connector provides for a standard API to the carriers for the transfer of confidential customer contracts, amendments and global surcharge tariffs to the CargoSphere neutral rate network by utilising a data format and structure that is common.
CargoSphere’s eSUDS engine is used to process the data and is then made available to forwarders and shipper customers in real time.
The collaboration of CargoSphere with the top ocean carriers of the world finally resulted to a common data model that collects the unique pricing practices of every carrier. The different requirements and data structures of the leaders of today’s ocean carriers will be fulfilled by this approach. There is a need for the industry to digitalize the rates of the ocean as every ocean carrier now has its own discrete systems that defines its business logic and data structures.
The eSUDS Connector will help in the development of the relationship between ocean carriers and customers by removing the need for large amount of manual work of rate management that leads to massive obstacles in pricing operations.
