The delivery of Costa Smeralda has been moved from mid-October to mid-November by Meyer Turku. With the new cruise ship LNG propulsion system and the highly sophisticated rooms with stage and also audio/video equipments, the complexity of the ship is too high to create a unique Costastyle passenger experience.
Apart from the unique design, the size of the ship is 180,000 GT which is highly impressive and much larger than the ships built at Turku shipyards recently.
This creation involves many companies and people. Meyer Turku had a slow speed than what was required. They apologized to all those who have been affected by this change.
Meyer Turku will deliver a highly sophisticated cruise ship which as usual be of high quality.
