A contract has been signed between Jan De Nul Group and Vattenfall Vindkraft Kriegers Flak P/S for the transport and installation of 72 8.4MW Siemens Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) for the Kriegers Flak Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) in Denmark.

“We are proud to have been awarded an offshore WTG installation project of this magnitude”, says Philippe Hutse, Offshore Director at Jan De Nul Group. “It confirms that Jan De Nul is a trustworthy experienced partner in installing large wind farms at sea. Our investments in knowhow and equipment for offshore installation works bear fruit”.

The Kriegers Flak OWF is located in the Baltic Sea in water depths which varyies between 15 and 30 metres, at 15 kilometres from shore. In 2017 to 18, Jan De Nul Group already built, towed and installed two large Gravity Based Foundations for the Offshore High Voltage stations of the Kriegers Flak OWF.

In the first quarter of 2021 the installation works will start and will take four months.
